A visit to the Ortho brings good news...

Its been a rough couple of days figuring out how to move at all with 2 broken legs.  We have been through 2 wheel chairs trying to get on that will fit into the bathroom, and still the door frames are 2 skinny.  I have had to shimmy down the bathroom counter with applying as little of pressure as possible to the foot the hurts the least.   SOOO thankful for the tender mercy of my mom already being here this week to help.

After a painful trip down the back porch and over all the rough terrain we call a yard I made it to the van an onto the Orthopedic Doctor for a follow up visit and a final diagnosis.

After reviewing the xray Cd and an exam of his own it is determined I in fact do NOT have a fracture on my left foot as previously determined (I was told it was classified as a fracture as the tendons had pulled bone away)  But just a serious sprain that would need a brace for a few days, but I am allowed to put pressure on it. Halleluiah!!  And the Right is indeed a fracture in my fibula but it is a clean break and will heal without surgery.  It does not require a full cast but a walking boot that I will be able to use it as I feel ready and with crutches.

And the very best part, I can take showers!!  I am able to remove the book and brace.  Praise the Heavens!!  It's the best news!

Princess E immediately got a stomach ache at the thought of not having the wheelchair to play on after a few weeks.  But King J and I are so thankful and know it is a direct result of our faith on prayer and the power of priesthood blessings.

Its still a very long recovery, and I require loads of time in bed and allowing others to serve me.  But I am so thankful for this tender mercy.

And....I finally found the time to catch up on this blog. :)
